Description:
NGC2872; Mag 11.9, Size 2.0' X 2.0', RA 09:25.5, DEC +11:26
A uniform round halo which gradually brightens to a fairly bright, tiny
stellar core. Located 2'W. of NGC2874 and 5' SE of a 10th magnitude field
star. Visible with averted vision at 77x, it was best seen at 193x-257x.
NGC2873; Mag ~13.5, Size 0.5' X 0.5', RA 09:26, DEC +11:27
A very faint, tiny circular nebulous patch which shows no detectable
brightening toward the center. Visible ~50% of the time with averted vision
at 128x-193x. Located 4' NE of NGC2872.
NGC2874; Mag 12.5, Size 2.0' X 0.5', RA 09:26, DEC +11:26
A uniform oval halo elongated NE-SW. It gradually brightens to a diffuse
core. Visible with averted vision at 77x, it was best seen at 193x.
Located 2' E. of NGC2872.
