Description:
In Cassiopeia, at ~ 2 ½ ° NW of Caph (Beta Cas). Very beautiful open cluster, of
large size at the binoculars. Also, it shows an lengthened in an axis NW-SE.
Within NGC 7790, I distinguish 4-5 very weak individual stars, forming a “Y”
figure, accompanied by a weak nebulosity of background, made up of unsolved
stars. It is those which give to the cluster its lengthened aspect.
