Description:
A faint, uniform oval halo elongated nearly N-S.  It shows very slight
diffuse brightening toward the core.  The galaxy is located ~10' S. of
an obtuse triangle of 9th and 10th magnitude field stars.  Of several
additional galaxies plotted within a 128x (34') field centered on NGC6338,
none could be seen.
