Description:
A very faint uniform oval halo elongated N-S..  It shows no detectable
brightening toward the core.  A 13th magnitude field star is located ~5'
to the W..  Steadily visible with averted vision at 128x, it began to fade
into the background at 193x.

NGC7778, located just to the SW of NGC7782, was suspected but could not
be confirmed.  NGC7781, just to the S. of NGC7782, could not be seen.
