Description:
At 78x with the OIII Filter 2024 is very bright and features 4 distinct lobes – the
western part divided by a dark bar (N-S) from the eastern part which is again
separated by 2 dark clouds (E-W) into 3 sections. Further east is another faint
cloud attached to the SE part of the nebula. The Horsehead dark cloud is fairly
easy to see but does not show any apparent structure that would feature a horse
head. The nebula running down south and up north from the Horse Head dark
cloud (B33) shows a fairly distinguished edge towards the east.
