Description:
Gx, 10 and 12,8magv, 3’ and 0.5’, Vir. NGC5846 appears as a 2’ wide round galaxy
with a bright center but no other detail. The companion 5846A is easily visible as a
faint 30” disk with a brighter almost stellar center. 10’ ESE of 5846 is NGC5850,
10,8magv, 4,5’. It appears as a 2x1,5’ wide, faint object with a brighter center but
no distinct core. 5850 is elongated NW-SE. 5850 is fainter than 5846 and has a
lower surface brightness.
