Update of Perseid rates Aug 11/12 1996 from AKM/IMO

As already reported in our earlier note, members of the AKM/IMO were
able to observe during this night at 2 locations, one in Poland
(15.5 deg E, 53.9 deg N) and another one in northeast Germany
(approx. 14.9 E, 53.7 N). he analysis of the tapes of the 3 observers
in Poland gave the following results:
2020-0000 UT Per ZHR 30
0000-0015            50
0015-0045           130
0045-0100           100
0100-0130           120
0130-0150            60

Please note that these rates are still preliminary. Analysis of other
interval breakdown may yield different results. It seems possible to
follow the activity in rather short time steps. The 2 maxima may also
be an artifact, but this needs further investigation, of course. 
The number of Perseids being 0 mag and brighter also gives 'peaks'
which coincide with the ZHR maxima.
