Re: (meteorobs) meteors

GG;
	Official IMO peak is listed as 17UT on the 17th. Peter Jenniskens
suggest the possibility of an earlier peak at the time of passage of the
coet's orbital plane, which he places at 7 UT on the 17th.
So it appears our US location makes the night of the 16/17 the best time
for us....7UT would be just about when the radiant reaches a useful
elevation, and nautical twilight is approx 1045 UT at our approximate
latitude, so we won't make it till 17UT I guess. Of course, If I recall
correctly, we would be in a good position for that at dawn next year (6
hour difference, right Lew?). That's all I've been able to dig up so far.
Looks like you've got the best night. Stay Warm!!!

  When is the predicted time of the Leonid maximum? Is the 16/17 or
17/18 the best date for eastern North America? I probably will only be
able to go out on November 16/17, but was wondering.
