Re: (meteorobs) ice meteors over Brazil ?

Blocks on crystalized meteorites made of ice are rare but not unknown.
I know of at least two documented cases. There is an article by the late
W.S. Houston in the Jaunuary 1976 issue of Popular Astronomy magazine.
Back then they seemed to be very strange. Although still strange today, with
the recent work of Louis Frank et al at Iowa on mini-comets it seems very
plausable. Remember the ice Frank talks about has no dust or gas; so would
be from a comet with no coma or tail. Almost invisible in fact.
