Most common stone meteorites have chondrules, which are small spherical
inclusions in the stone matrix.

You mentioned that it had quartz in it. Quartz is very rare in meteorites
and very common in Earth rocks. If it has no chondrules and lots of quartz
it is probably not a meteorite.
