Completed datasheets will now ( due to severe financial hardship and
continued unemployment) be sent now, only to Alastair McBeath (SPAMS)
and Rainer Arlt (IMO VMDB Director). For the same reason, Alastair and
Andre Knofel (FIDAC) will receive full archival data sheets for
Fireballs. N.B. .... Alastair does detailed global analyses for "WGN",
which is why HE has been particularly chosen. The rest of you out there,
will continue to "get" these "summaries" from METEOROBS. Please download
and disemminate freely to anyone who is interested, and who can use the
data.

OTHER:-
Hale-Bopp continues to "rise" to the right and upwards towards NGC 2070
(Tarantula Nebula). Two nights ago, the comet was Mv 8.4 +/- 0.2 and
visible ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. DC has fallen from 3 down to 1, and
the coma has shrunk from about 12' last month to be about 5' x 3'
elongated. It is hard to see in 7x50s from my ZLM 5.4 - 5.6 back lawn,
but I did see it clearly from Moore's Valley (ZLM 6.6) on the 4th...
thanks to a car ride from a visiting british astronomer and his new
girlfriend.

P/103 Hartley 2 continues to brithen low in the eveninbg western sky
near Beta Aquarii. Have not seen Mueller... apparently about Mv 14...
too faint for my 18cm f5.

Plenty of auroral "fireworks" last few weeks, some CMEs about. Built my
3rd generation radio astronomy observatory, complete withg RUSTRAK 288,
and got some solar flares on 136 Mhx, followed later that night by an
earlier burst that caused some mild 10 and 15 MHz fadeouts about
mid-night. Went outside after a cup of tea, and saw some IBC2 and IBC3
visuals to the S.E. that intermittently continued til daybreak about 4
1/2 hours later. Some fireballs about too, will send in a data summary
on THOSE next month.

MEANWHILE.... Merry Xmas (and a safe one at that) to all out there,
around the world, greetings to E.T, (if somehow you are reading this...
us SETI freaks are still waiting for your phone call), from both myself
and the wonderful TERESKA.
