(meteorobs) Observation April 18/19

Hi all,

Well I managed to get 3.37 teff with 19 meteors last Saturday night
(18/19).
The sky looked promising shortly before sunset. I soon headed to my
south airport location. I arrived, it was all full of cirrus again.
I decided to patiently wait and finally, around 11:00 local EDT,
it cleared!

Activity was still low but seems to be slowly picking up. Lyrids produced
3 in one hour at best. Also saw considerable activity from the Mu
Virginids and Librids (ecliptical radiant). I plotted those since they
are difficult to seperate one another. Nicest meteor was a 18d long
persistent Librid of mag 3. Also keeping an eye for Alpha Bootids but
have seen none. One sporadic is a possible BCA (Beta Corona Australid)
but this radiant is very low. It is plotted I called it SPO for now.

The next few nights, I'll be on the watch also for possible early Eta
Aquarids and a radiant complex in Capricornus but all this remains very
low over horizon even in the early morning because of my high latitude.

The weather here in Ottawa looks promising for the rest of the week.
I'm planing a few all nighters. I'll post my results on meteorobs.

Good luck to other observers.
