(meteorobs) Radio meteor observations of Leonids in Arizona
Dear Meteorobs Net members;
Here is a quick look at the radio observations of the Leonids as of 3PM,
November 17, from Chino Valley, Arizona. (110 miles north west of Phoenix,
20 miles north of Prescott). Equipment used was a 5 element FM antenna
point East at a 45 degree elevation, 3 FM receivers each monitoring
different FM frequencies and a forth FM receiver monitoring an empty FM
channel in order to detect and reject noise. Control equipment selects
strongest signal from 3 receivers for display and computer analysis. The
data below gives the day, hour (MST) and the seconds per hour that the
reflected signal strength was stronger than -120 dBm out of the antenna.
