(meteorobs) Los Angeles Leonids 17/18 Nov.
Amazing. It was as clear this morning as Monday morning; yesterday there was
nothing but clouds & fog.
Between 3:45 & 5:00 a.m. PST (1145-1300 UTC), had 12 Leonids, all less than
mag 2 with short duration, viewing southwest. Limiting mag 5, significant
light pollution to east (LM 2.5).
Monday with same LM, had 11 (incl. one fireball) in 45 mins (4:15-5:00 a.m.
PST)
Also had 2 Taurids, one a slow fireball (-6), 2 sec. train persistence,
south of Orion and the other a slow mover, mag 1 heading east toward Leo
