(meteorobs) Preliminary radio info

With only about a dozen reports in, the Amateur Radio forward-scatter
contact reports (primarily 144 MHz) are providing a picture that is similar
to, but differing just slightly, from the visual reports seen thus far.

Europe is consistent with a peak on the 17th, about 0600 Z +/- 1 hour.
Eastern North America is consistent with a peak about the same time.

It is the Western U.S. that differs considerably. Several minor peaks are
noted. On the 16th, at about 1500-1700. And on the 18th at 0800 and 1300
(broad).
The Western U.S. may have done better on the 16th.

Probable reasons: radiant rise/set times, daylight blocking visual
reports, the large number of fireballs producing long-lasting overdense
trains which can skew the perception, and varying numbers of operators
because of the earlier but broad time period of good conditions.

Many more reports are expected in the next two days.
