Re: (meteorobs) 1999 Geminids in Northern VA

As I mentioned in one of my previous postings, I did manage to see my first
Geminid of this campaign on Saturday morning at about 0400 local time.  Then 
the next evening I did observe for about 1 hour (.9 Teff).  Here are my results:

Date: December 11/12
Location:  Haymarket VA (38.81 N Lat/077.64 W Long.)
Limiting Magnitude:  6.2

0545 - 0145          12 GEM     3 SigHyd     5 Spor


Last night, on my drive back to Central VA from Northern VA, I noticed the clouds
building in.  We were "socked in" by 9 PM local time.  Therefore, it does not look
very promising for observations for the maximum tonight, here in Central VA.  Does anyone
in the vicinity of this area have a lear jet that we can use to fly where it is clear?
