(meteorobs) Re:Possible asteroid impact
To Whom It May Concern:
The partial transcript of an article is found below and was sent to
me today, by a relative. I do not want to post it to meteorobs, so I
thought that if I sent it to this address it would get sent through to
the right person. I follow the list but don't post anything. Thanking
you in advance, Jim Rahn
Earlier this week the National Aeronautic and Space Administration
(NASA)
revealed that a wayward asteroid is about to enter the Earth's
atmosphere.
NASA calculations place the impact point of the asteroid somewhere in
Huron
County. We've actually been watching this particular asteroid for a few
weeks now, said Prof. Phil Dupre, a NASA spokesman and member of the
Deep
Impact Research Team.
It will enter the earth on April 3rd (early evening) at a speed of 127km
per
second. Its name is L00-F221.
