(meteorobs) Re: early Leonids



From my Oct 23/24  post: 
        
...first full hour started. No other radiants produced anything : North
Taurids, South Andromedids, Leonids, Epsilon Geminids, or Leo Minorids.

Affirmative. Back in the 70's and 80's I would usually see a Leonid-like
meteor or two come from the expected radiant location as early as Oct 24 or
so.  It would be a fairly bright one but not a fireball.

For Orionids to be normal to me, I need to be seeing around 25/hour from Oct
21 all the way to Oct 25.  No such luck in 2000.
