(meteorobs) Perseids 1993 (observations)
In night with 12 on August 13, 1993 the amateurs of astronomy of city of
Ulyanovsk observed a meteor shower Perseid. The observations were conducted
in deserted region on a coast of the river Volga, geographical coordinates:
53d 59.5 ' N, 48d 46 ' E. In the beginning of observations Lm in
neighbourhoods ' head Draconis' 6.2.
The bright meteors with tracks began to occur already in the twilight sky
and represented a grandiose show! In the night sky of meteors occurred so
much, that observers had not time to mention all of them. Bright Perseids
occurred in an interruption, between the first and second intervals of
observations. One of such meteors ' has falled on Moon '.
Moon, in the age of 24,4 days, essentially hindered in the third interval of
observations, especially in southern and east part of the sky. At the end of
the third interval of observations there was one more extreme incident, has
fallen asleep observer Dmitriy Borodin. I regret concerning problems, which
can arise at handling these observations.

It is known, that the meteors interest few people. In this connection with
DB there was an amusing case. In 1993 we have arrived by the bus to small
city Sengiley. From here we should go on a point of observations. On the bus
server, which also is river quay, to DB has approached the man with a
problem: ' the meteors today will be? '. Dmitriy not at once has understood,
that the man has asked about a river carrier.
