(meteorobs) August 12-13 perseid night from France ...



Hi all !

It seems there was more perseids that second night from here. The meteors
were fainter, but there was a great bolid at 23:28 UT. The bolid by itself
was yellowish-orange and seen near herculis. But there was a persistant
trail for at least 7 minutes to the naked eye and a total of 12 minutes
including binocular viewing. This trail was initially green but going
rapidly blueish and the a very pale blue/green.
A took 3 exposures with a 50 mm lens and a 200 mm. Hope to see something on
the film ! In that case I will keep you informed.
