Re: (meteorobs) The Annual Lampyridae Meteors

Two weeks ago, at the advanced age of nearly 66, I saw my first fireflies.
What a marvelous experience! It didn't even occur to me that one might
mistake one of these for a meteor, even though I tried meteor observing the
last few years until other responsibilities overwhelmed me. Here in
Arizona I guess it's much too dry for them, and in Colorado and Utah it
must have been too cold - or maybe also too dry.

It's wonderful to share in others' impressions of these delightful little
insects. Thanks for posting such entertaining discussions of them.
