(meteorobs) Observation August 8/9 (KACJA)

Hi All!

Adding to Jure's reports, here are my reports from our Summer
Meteor Camp.
The first night I observed for 3.2 hours teff. I also had a new
observer with me, and she was a quick learner. She made useful
meteor observations from her very first night on.
Perseids were quite active with a (time)-corrected rate of 30
meteors per hour during the last period. Other meteors seen
included Capricornids, Aquarids and Kappa Cygnids. The only
fireball of the night was a -3 Perseid.
After observation I also had the chance to see comet C/2002 O6
(SWAN). It shone brightly in 7x50 binoculars at an estimated
magnitude of +6.8.

Clear skies!
Javor
