(meteorobs) Report from the Heart of Texas

Hi,

My wife and I got to 30.3505 / -98.052 about 3:45am CST. Between
the high thin cirrus and the bright moonlight, we didn't see much
activity at first. The clouds finally drifted south enough that
we had a pretty clear view overhead and we did see quite a few
meteors, some coming as fast as 5-6 in a couple of seconds. This
seemed to be the peak of the action and was at about 4:40am, give
or take 5 minutes. We might have seen as many as 100 meteors in
the 1.5 hrs we were there. Didn't notice any that made more than
a brief appearance, however.
