I think it was only a training session and yes, they stopped by the
time I started the real observation (and the football site is
south-east of me, which is a bad part of the sky due to more light
pollution anyway. I'm actually living right at the border of strong
light pollution from Stuttgart, which makes that part of the sky
quite unenjoyable).

Maybe I don't quite understand what you mean by that question. If you
are referring to the limiting magnitude, it's around five most of the
time at my site (unless there's moonlight or haze), and we have quite
clear winter nights right now here in southwestern Germany. I
determine the lm by marking some of the faintest stars I can still
see on a sky map, as the normal "counting fields" method has often
resulted in contrary results (over 0.5mag difference between two
fields on the same evening). The magnitudes of these stars can be
checked using http://www.nofs.navy.mil/data/FchPix/ if the stars are
not in the Flamesteed catalogue.

If you are referring to the meteor magnitudes, observations like these
with only 3-4 meteors probably can't give any statistically
interesting numbers. If you have any further questions, please post
the lines of the report that are of interest for you.

Thank you, I think it's a good idea to start plotting during the "low
peak" time (especially when there are nice and clear winter nights).
