(meteorobs) Re: Perseids



Thomas and All,

The Perseids are just one stream creating one radiant. Of course there are
slightly different debris trails each time comet Swift-Tuttle passes through
the inner solar system. This would affect rates rather than radiant
positions. There have been suspicions of secondary radiants but nothing
conclusive have been proven. I feel that most of the secondary radiants can
probably be linked to the nearby northern branch of the apex radiant.
