I was fortunate enough to be-friend Tom and Jeannie Clark some
years ago by writing an article for Amateur Astronomy magazine
<plug>. They invited me to come along to the Ultimate Star
Party and I was off during a break in classes, so I quickly
agreed. We had several nice nights and I got to use both\
their 36 incher (The Yard Scope) and Larry Mitchell's big
Dob. Lot of fun and lots of great observers. As you said,
having the ol' color vision active while observing galaxies
really takes some aperture, but it can be done.
