This object would be pretty hard to find. It is a galaxy of 15th magnitude,
and not being a point source, is dimmer than a 15th magnitude star.

Description:
This is a Negative report, bit strange of course, but this object is of special
interest as it appears in this Months Sky and Telescope in an article about
pushing your scope to the limits, basically it's a chart of the area around M57
with stars to mag 19 listed, and IC 1296 is right there with them! So seeing
this I just had to have a go for it, I tried for nearly 45 minutes but without
success, I guess a better sky might have shown a tiny something, I saw stars
down to 14.1 but this little beaut eluded me! Pity because it does look very
nice in the photo.
