Hi Lew,

I believe my image of NGC 7023 has north at the top and east is to the left.
Would that explain the position of the "dark lane"? Mark Birkmann's description
of the dark lane running from the northeast to the southwest sounds OK but I'm
somewhat confused by his statement that it widens to the southwest. If we are
talking about the same dark lane my image shows it widens to the northest.
Am I confused?
