Instrument: 16" Newtonian-dob w. 96/99% coatings f/4.59
Magnifications: 98, 170x(binoviewer), 124x, 267x

Object: NGC 2976
Constellation: Vicinity of Ursa Major, near M81/82
Object data:  Galaxy - spiral

This is a ghostly, elongated, or edge-on spiral galaxy.
It resembles (literally) a flyer saucer, because of it's long
football shape.

 Very similar in shape and size to NGC 891, but without the dark lane, 
and somewhat smaller. Appeared best around 150x.
