Description:
Large and bright open cluster in the Puppis Milky Way.
Best views of M47 are at 49X. I counted about a dozen bright stars and a number
of faint ones, including a double star near the center of M47.

About 30' north of M47 is the small and faint cluster NGC 2423, seen at 98X
but hard to distinquish from the surrounding starfields.
