Description:
This large diffuse globular was just seen at 49 and gave better views at 98X
and 203X. It was easily found being near two fairly bright stars. Almost round
globular but it seemed to be a bit flat on one side, not unlike M13, but much
less obvious.
At 203X NGC 6712 is a large glow of light but with just a little granulation
and no resolution into individual stars. The moon was still up during the
observation and the southern declination didn't do the view any good either.
