Description:
This popular double was indeed something worth while to look at this
evening as most of the heavens were just to bright and washed out to
look at.
As always both Mizar mag.2 and Alcor mag.4 were/are extremely easy to
separate. Both Mizar and Alcor are doubles themselves with Mizar's
companion being a nice telescopic double as well. At 100X this
companion shown beautiful separation on this night, and is fascinating
for young and old astronomers alike.
