Description:
NGC 5907 is a highly elongated, edge-on spiral galaxy. I had seen
this "needle" galaxy numerous times in the past but never before with
an aperture as small as 101mm. The Splinter Galaxy was easily
detected as a small, somewhat dim morphous streak of light at 60x.
