Re: (meteorobs) meteorite fallen on a car in France



I agree George, it smells.
I must admit, it is a hell of a lot of trouble to find a meteor,
smash a hole in the car and set it alight.
If I recall, the kids that the meteor fell near, picked up the meteorite
and it was , quote "warm to the touch"
Not hot, scalding etc.
Remember, the inside of it is at about -100, give or take a few degrees,
and will cool the meteor very quickly. (based on space temps).
