  It was cold and clear in Greenbelt, Maryland this morning; so I decided
to start off the new meteor year looking for Quadrantids for a couple of
hours. Quadrantid activity was moderate. Light pollution and haze kept the
LM around 5.0 to 5.1. There were no clouds. Very few bright meteors were
seen. Below is a brief summary.
