Thank you for opening an excellent METEOR-RELATED thread, Karl/Antoine!

As a matter of fact, there is an entire sub-discipline of our hobby which
centers around recording meteors in a proscribed field of view with wide-
field telescope or binoculars, and plotting them against the field.

This discipline of "telescopic meteors" complements all the other various
types of meteor recording - from simple visual counts, up to photographic,
video, radio and even radar methods. However, at the current moment there
are very few (far TOO few) practitioners of "TM" in the world!

The IMO (International Meteor Organization) has established a "Telescopic
Meteor Commission", charged with furthering TM among world amateurs. The
IMO "Telescopic Commissioner" is none other than our own Malcolm Currie.

Though I'm an occasional (4-5 hours per year) telescopic meteor observer
myself, Malcolm is probably far better suited to answer questions on it.
Malcolm, could you perhaps point Karl (Antoine?) to some TM resources?

Clear skies!
