Re: (meteorobs) Casual backyard ACE'S



Hello Kearn and others,

This prediction is uncertain because we do not know if the alpha-Centaurid
parent is a long-period comet with the right range in orbital period.
Moreover, the prediction is based on past outburst observations and 
would be valid only if the radiant position is off from that reported 
in the right way. Glad you are keeping an eye on it though. The peak
is predicted at 09:07 UT Feb 08 and best seen from Chile. If you do
see increased activity, please focus on measuring the precise radiant
position.
