Re: (meteorobs) Persistent meteor trains

The question of train length was a good one, and brought up two points:
1. always keep good records/notes
2. try to observe as many different showers as possible
In general interest my contribution to the answer was also -8 Leonid
2001, Nov17/18 at 8:55 UT, and my last mention of the train on my tape was
9:10 UT.
Would anyone care to share their record/file keeping methods for past meteor
observations? Not just for myself, but for those on the list just starting
out.

Hi!

I was just wondering (it's a stupid question really, but what the
heck...):
how long did your longest persistent meteor train ever last and what meteor
produced it. Subquestion: if it wasn't a Leonid, repeat the upper question
for
a Leonid.

Oh yeah: mine lasted just over 22 minutes, produced by a -8m Leonid (Nov
18,
2001 12:36:35UT, Mt.Lemmon, AZ).

Clear skies!
