Re: (IAAC) Obj: M42 - Inst: 3.5" Reflector 700mm bushnell.
Hi Lew!
While I did apply all my filters with M42, I did notice with the yellow
filter (orion #15 yellow) the stars within the nebula stood out very well
with no nebulosity visible, very good filter to use to look at the stars.
While 2 of the other filters I used gave me a different prespective of this
dso, They didn't really do much except change the color of the viewfield.
The Red filter (orion #25 red) pretty much hid everything from view. It is
a deep red filter and I am still not sure what I am supposed to use it on
since it seems to be too dark to actually see anything once the filter is
added.
