the time

Seeing (1 to 5 - best to worst): 2 (stellar stars until 211x)

Instrument: Coulter 17.5" (445mm) F/4.5
Magnification: 400x
=46ilters used: OIII, UHC, Hbeta

Category: planetary nebula
Constellation: LAC
Object data: Vmag=3D15.0; Bmag=3D15.8; dim>59" ; central star of V=3D17.6;
discovered by Abell in 1955
RA/DE: 22h26.3m, +54=B049' (2000); Uranometria 57;
Description: at 250x and OIII, medium sized PN, extremely faint with filter
and invisible without; seen from 74x to 250x with OIII; round and quite
homogeneous but the NE zone is very slightly fainter leaving the rest as a
kind of crescent; estimated diameter about 50"; a couple of stars
mag14+mag15 are on the SW border and another mag15 star is on the NE edge;
UHC has a small contrast gain, OIII has a good one and Hbeta has no effect.

binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try
(ypothier@abi.snv.jussieu.fr), it works sometimes with other
configurations...
