Description:
M42, easily split the trapezium stars with 25mm eyepiece. but stars are very
close. The nebula seems to circle the stars but with a gap to the North. In
the FOV of my 25mm eyepiece i note 3 stars leading of to the east in almost an
anchor configuration. I swith to my 7*50 binoculars to gain a wider persective
and i note clearly two sepearte clouds. I find it difficult to seperate these
clouds in the telescope. With my 10mm eyepiece, the trapezium stars are much
wider and the nebula now totaly surronds the stars with the gap now just out of
my FOV. The nebula shows much more detail with whisps almost like still smoke
being pushed aside with your hand in still air. it's has that kind of effect.
