(meteorobs) The Eta Aquarids (get out and enjoy those Lyrids!)



BTW, for folks who are not blessed with southerly observing
locations, like those of us in Canada and the Northern USA,
and most folks in Europe, Korea or elsewhere in north Asia,
the Eta Aquarids are a mere shadow of the full glory they
display further south - say in Australia, South America,
or even the Caribbean... or San Diego, of course. ;>

And in particular, this year the full moon will play havoc
with the ETAs for ALL observers. But this week, on the other
hand, the moon is essentially absent from the morning sky...

So this is a year when the Lyrids really are not be missed!
