That's pretty funny, it is my exact story. I just turned 15, just became
interested in the stars and it was the first time I got up to see a
meteor shower. Had no idea what to expect. I watched from about 2am to
3:30am (west coast US), saw maybe one every two seconds, sometimes
multiple meteors at one time, thought, "whoa this is pretty cool", got
too cold, went to bed just an hour too early. Slim chance of having
clear weather again here in Seattle in mid November.
